He was a star at the University of Alabama, he turned in a strong rookie season with the Atlanta Falcons and now, wide receiver Calvin Ridley is soaring in his personal life.
The former All-American and College Football Playoff national champion got engaged to his long-time girlfriend on last week. Ridley, the No. 26 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, ended his first year with 64 receptions for 821 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns (tied for sixth in league).
The Falcons posted a photo of Ridley and his fiancé on its Twitter.

Before pursuing a pro career, Ridley was a former five-star athlete for the Crimson Tide out of Florida.
He posted a 1,000-yard season as a freshman in 2015 (1,045) and ended his career with 2,781 yards and 19 scores on 224 catches. Ridley is second all-time in school history for receptions and touchdowns behind Amari Cooper.

He now looks forward to getting Atlanta to a Super Bowl championship, while continuing to make Alabama fans proud with his excellence off the field.
