Alabama football offered 6-7 310 pounds offensive lineman, Brady ward, on Saturday.
Thankful to the staff and recruiting team for spending the day with me today. Grateful to receive a scholarship offer from Coach Saban to play offensive line at the University of Alabama. 🌊🐘🔴⚪️ RTR pic.twitter.com/FwcMLi8Zr8
— Brady Ward (@jbward76) March 3, 2019
Ward is a 2020 recruit of St. Paul’s High School in Mobile, Alabama,. He is one of the top offensive tackle in the state of Alabama for the 2020 recruiting class. Alabama’s offer is his 19 Division 1 offer.
“It is always good when a playoff team that competes for championships every year offers you,” Brady said.
Nick Saban told Ward about his offer in a meeting with his family. Saban has paid attention to Brady’s development over the last couple of years and said he reminds him of a former Alabama offensive lineman, according to Ward.
“He told me he liked the way I had improved over the years since he has been following me,” Ward said. “He said he loved watching my development and that I reminded him a lot of Bradley Bozeman. We were both late developers because of our size and just maturing late. He said he was excited to see me continue to grow and develop.”
The Crimson Tide has 12 commits in their 2020 recruiting class. They currently have no offensive lineman committed after landing five in their 2019 class. Plenty of time still remains on the clock as Brady will continue to be one of the top offensive lineman targets in this class.
Brady has the size to play at the next level today if he had to. He knows how to use his strength and wide body to keep rushing defensive end from getting around the edge and sacking his quarterback. with him being a rising senior, he has a summer and a full high school season to develop even more.
Alabama’s 2019 recruiting class was headed by another in-state offensive lineman in Pierce Quick. Quick was also the first offensive lineman to commit to Alabama in the 2019 class among the five to sign with the Tide. Brady could be the next in-state recruit to headline an Alabama recruiting class.
