With Josh Jacobs improving his 40-time and Quinnen Williams scheduled to meet with the Oakland Raiders, things are going according to plan for two stars from the Crimson Tide that project as first-round picks for the NFL Draft.

Damien Harris, another former Tide standout, is anticipating hearing his name called during the venue – which goes from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27 from Nashville, Tenn.

A native of Kentucky and former five-star prospect, Harris will meet with the Dallas Cowboys for a visit and a pre-draft workout on Wednesday.

News came from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network as Dallas lacks depth in its backfield behind four-year veteran, Ezekiel Elliot.

Elliot, a product of Ohio State University, led the league in rushing last season with 1,434 yards on 304 carries with six touchdowns. In four seasons at Alabama, Harris became the eighth back in school history to record 3,000 yards rushing (3,070).

He posted at least 1,000 yards in two seasons (2016, 2017) and led the Tide in rushing for 2018 with 876 yards and nine scores.

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 216 pounds, Harris separated himself from other backs at the NFL Scouting Combine with a strong performance. He was among the top testers in the 40-yard dash (4.57 seconds), vertical jump (37”) and broad jump (10’1”), while showcasing his footwork, speed and pass-catching abilities in on-field drills.

After seeing the positive transition Amari Cooper made at wide receiver in going from Oakland to Dallas, selecting Damien Harris in the upcoming draft would add more talent to what is becoming a deadly offensive roster.
