Davis plays quarterback for Middletown High School in Middletown, Delaware,. Alabama’s offer is Davis’ 4th Divison 1 offer. Saban called the young signal caller into his office after camp to discuss the possibility of him playing in Tuscaloosa one day.
“After camp, I had a meeting with coach Saban and he offered me,” Davis said. “It was a great conversation. I loved getting to hear his perspective on Alabama and all the school has to offer.”
Texas A&M was the first school to offer Davis. The Aggies offered the Delaware product on Wednesday. North Carolina State and Temple followed suit by offering Davis a couple of days later.
Nick Saban’s success is what has Davis feeling good about his most recent offer.
“Alabama’s success is undisputed,” Davis said. “It shows that coach Saban has a great program going.”
It is very early in Davis’ recruitment as he is only a rising sophomore and has three full seasons of high school football left. Several schools are showing they see the potential in Davis by offering him. Middletown High school is expecting Davis to take another jump in his development this upcoming season.
The Tide would be happy to know Davis can see himself dawning the crimson and white and playing under the center in Tuscaloosa in the future.
“I could absolutely see myself playing for them,” Davis said. “Coach Saban is known for having great players across the board. It would be an honor playing for such a great team.”
22 recruits in the 2022 recruiting class have received offers from the Tide. Four of those recruits are quarterbacks. Alabama has shown they want to be a huge part of these guys recruitment going forward as they offer lists get longer.
Alabama has made their first step with Davis as they will be focused on his development in the future.
