After camping at Clemson for three days and receiving an offer from the Tigers earlier this month, Jager Burton took a trip to Tuscaloosa and pulled in an offer from the Tide by putting on another great camp performance.

Burton is a 4-Star offensive guard in the 2021 recruiting class and is a product of Frederick Douglas High School in Lexington, Kentucky,. The Tide’s offer is Burton’s 14th Division 1 offer. The 2021 recruit said Alabama’s offer is crazy to think about
“It is really crazy to think about because of how successful and rich the history is at Alabama,” Burton said. “Having an opportunity to play for them is really a crazy feeling.”
Nick Saban met with Burton after camp to discuss his performance, continuing the trend of Saban making sure he interacts with recruits, who gain offers by putting on good performances at the Nick Saban Football Camp. Their conversation gave Burton a chance to see a different side of the veteran coach.
“It was really cool getting to see how he was in person and his view on a lot of different coaching styles and the game of football In general,” Burton said.
Burton was able to show why he deserves an offer from the Tide by being a versatile lineman during his sophomore season. The Kentucky native is a mobile offensive lineman, who is comfortable with pull and zone blocking schemes. Burton carries his 6-5 265-pound frame very well.
Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class is led by its only commit in 4-Star defensive back, Latrell McCutchin. The Tide would look to grab a couple of offensive linemen in the 2021 recruiting class. Burton said he feels the Tide is one of the football programs everyone knows as one of the best.
“It is one of those things you know about no matter what sport you play or are a fan of, its one of the best dynasties in all sports,” Burton said.
