Drake Maye announced his verbal commitment to Alabama on Wednesday.

Maye is a product of Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The North Carolina product is the Tide’s second commit in the 2021 class. Most recruiting outlets have Maye ranked as a 4-Star recruit.
The junior quarterback weighs in at 200 pounds and stands at 6-4. Maye is coming off a season, where he threw 3,200 passing yards and 35 passing touchdowns with a 65 percent completion rating.
Although the Tide have a commitment from Maye, they are most likely not done with the quarterback position in the 2021 recruiting cycle. It is a chance the Tide will not land a quarterback in their 2020 recruiting class and they will look to make up for that miss with the 2021 recruiting cycle.
