The debate over who is the top wide receiver in college football is an ongoing one and is no secret Alabama wide receiver, Jerry Jeudy, is in that conversation.
Jeudy reeled in 68 receptions for 1,315 yards and 19 touchdowns during his sophomore season. The Florida native also took home the Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the best wide receiver in college football every season. However, Jeudy is not worried about being called the best in college football due to how people’s opinions change quickly.
“I see when they say that, but soon as I have a bad game, they will say I am the worst wide receiver in college football. I do not really focus on what the outsiders think,” Jeudy said. “Yes, I think I am the best wide receiver in the nation. That is how everyone supposed to feel. Every receiver should feel like they are the best in the nation.”

Jeudy’s number was called numerous times on last season and the junior wideout usually answered the call. Despite Alabama losing the National Championship to Clemson 44-16, he still had a good game. Jeudy caught five passes for 139 yards and a touchdown.
When asked about the Tide’s performance against Clemson last season at SEC Media Days, Jeudy said he is focused on what is ahead and not the past.
“I am focused on this season and improving my game to help my team go back to the National Championship.,” Jeudy said.

Many NFL experts have Jeudy projected as a top 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. But Jeudy will focus on helping the Tide to another National Championship first.
Alabama has a stacked wide receiver room heading into this season with Jeudy as their anchor. DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, Jaylen Waddle and Jeudy are all expected to have good seasons with Tua Tagovailoa slinging the football. It will be interesting to see how Alabama’s new offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian, uses the Tide’s weapons this season.
