Another day another Alabama player gets put on a major watch list. In this case, four members of the crimson tide defense will be on the same list. Today it was announced that linebacker Anfernee Jennings, defensive lineman Raekwon Davis, defensive back Trevon Diggs and linebacker Dylan Moses have all joined the Nagurski Award Watchlist.
The Bronco Nagurski Award is another award which recognizes an athlete as the best defensive player in college football. The award has been handed out annually since 1993 and is named after the football player from the University of Minnesota of the same name.
If any of these four members of the crimson tide were to win, it would be the second time an Alabama player has taken home the award. The first came back in 2016 when defensive lineman Jonathan Allen took home the prize.
Any of these four players nominated are definitely worthy to be in the conversation for the best defender in college football. It will be very interesting to see who rises from the back and separates himself this upcoming season.
