The yellowhammer state has produced some great football talent over the last couple of years and is expected to continue this trend in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Alabama has taken advantage of this talent as they landed six in-state prospects in  2019. They currently have eight 2020 in-state commits. However, the 2021 cycle brings a new corp of Alabama talent to the forefront.

This class is lead by 5-Star athlete, Ga’Quincy McKinstry, out of Pinson Valley High School. McKinstry has the athletic ability to be a two-sport athlete at the next level as he also holds basketball offers. Auburn looks to be in a great position with McKinstry after offering him in basketball and football, but the Tide and the rest of the nation will continue to push for him.

Roanoke product and 5-Star defensive end, Dylan Brooks, is also a huge Alabama target along with 4-Star defensive lineman, Tim Keenan, who plays for Ramsey high school. Brooks and Keenan visited Alabama this past weekend.

3-Star defensive back, Kamari Lassiter, out of American Christian Academy also holds an Alabama offer.

There are some other Alabama prospects, who do not hold an offer from the Tide yet but could get one soon.

One of them is 5-Star defensive tackle, Lee Hunter, out of Blount High school. Hunter comes in at 6-5 and 292 pounds. 4-Star running back, Armoni Goodwin, could also receive an offer from Alabama in the future. Goodwin plays for Hewitt-Trussville High School and is currently committed to Auburn.

Keenan’s teammate 4-Star defensive end, Jeremiah Willims, and Lassister’s teammate 4-star, Cam Jeffrey, are some other names of note A sleeper in this class could be 3-Star cornerback, Alkwon Manning, out of Gordo High School.

Alabama does not have a verbal commit from an in-state prospect in the 2021 class, although they have gotten verbals from two 2021 prospects. Drew Maye and Latrell McCucthin are currently the Tide’s only two 2021 commits. As the Tide attempt to square away their 2020 class, expect the Tide’s 2021 class to start making some noise sometime in the future.
