According to John McClain, Texans backup quarterback A.J. McCarron suffered a thumb injury during practice on Tuesday against the Green Bay Packers.
He injured his thumb while following through on a pass and left the field appearing to be in pain.
The injury might also force him to miss the entire preseason and the team may look to sign another quarterback.
McCarron signed with the Texans back in February after spending the 2018 season with the Oakland Raiders. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2014.
More details to come.
