According to Al.com, five-star freshman running back Trey Sanders suffered a foot injury on the last play of practice on Thursday and is now expected to miss the entire 2019 season.
The IMG Academy product arrived at Alabama just a few weeks ago and was supposed to be a big player in the running back rotation this season along with Brian Robinson Jr., and Najee Harris.
Alabama currently has eight running backs on the roster including four-star recruit Jerome Ford who may be called upon to take some of Sanders’ carries if needed.
More details to come.
