Alabama prepares for two official visitors

The Crimson Tide will host two official visitors this weekend for their matchup against Southern Miss.

4-Star defensive ends, Reggie Grimes II and Alfred Collins, will be in Tuscaloosa throughout the weekend to get a better look at the Tide.

Grimes is an Alabama legacy as his dad, Reggie Grimes Sr., played for the Tide in the late 1990s and was part of Alabama’s 1999 SEC Championship team. The 4-Star recruit currently has his commitment date set for Nov. 28 as South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Florida State continue to push hard. The Gamecocks hosted Grimes for his first official visit in the summer.

Reggie Grimes II expressed to Touchdown Alabama in April, he likes Alabama’s winning mentality.

“They are a great football team and most of their players are great people,” Grimes said. “I would not want to play with people, who do not know how to win. Alabama has that and they know what it takes. They have been to the National Championship time and time again.”

Collins is a product Cedar Creek high School in Bastrop, Texas. The Texas Longhorns look to lead with Collins at the moment, but a good official to Tuscaloosa could change things. The Texas product released a top 5 in June, which included Alabama, Texas, LSU, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.

Oklahoma hosted Collins for an official earlier this month and the Aggies will host him on the weekend of Oct. 11.
