On a weekend, where the Tide is hosting two 4-star defensive ends in Alfred Collins and Reggie Grimes II, 2020 5-Star quarterback, Bryce Young, is also taking his official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Young is a 5-Star prospect out of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California and is the No.1 Dual-Threat quarterback in the 2020 class. The USC Trojans currently has a verbal commitment from Young, but the Tide has continued to recruit Young very hard.
The Tide currently has 22 commits in the 2020 recruiting class and currently do not have an official quarterback commit. 4-Star athlete, Kristain Story, has been in talks with Alabama’s staff about possibly lining up at quarterback, but nothing is official.
A good official for Young this weekend could open the door for a flip for the Tide, which could make Alabama’s possible starting quarterback competition next season quite interesting if Tua Tagovailoa does declare for the NFL Draft.
