Alabama’s coaching staff announced their players of the week following the Tide’s win over Southern Miss on Monday.
Henry Ruggs, Najee Harris and Jedrick Wills were Alabama’s offensive players of the week. Anfernee Jennings and Xavier McKinney were named the Tide’s defensive players of the week, while Slade Bolden, Ruggs and Jaylen Moody were awarded special team honors.

Ruggs had 4 receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns against the Golden eagles on Saturday. Harris accompanied him on the offensive side of the ball with 14 rushes for 110 yards, becoming Alabama’s first 100-yard rusher of the season, behind a great blocking showing by Wills. Harris also caught a receiving touchdown.
Jennings had a sack against Southern Miss on defense. McKinney finished the game with a total of 5 tackles. Moody had 3 tackles and Bolden had one tackle along with one reception.
