Daron Payne of Shades Mountain High School and Quinnen Williams of Wenonah High School both made a name for themselves in the Birmingham area before dominating in Tuscaloosa and going on to play in the NFL. True freshman, DJ Dale, who is a product of Clay-Chalkvile High school, also has roots in the Birmingham area and is headed towards a big freshman season for the Tide. Keenan currently lines up for Ramsey High School and holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Tennessee and several other schools.
