Jackson currently plays for Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. The Tide’s offer was his twelfth Division 1 football offer. His total offers now stand at 13 with a recent offer from West Virginia.
Jackson’s offer came from the Tide’s head coach, Nick Saban.
“I was invited to the Tennessee game last weekend and I got to talk to coach Saban and he offered me,” Jackson said. “It was a very cool moment. It left me with a great feeling.”
The last two months have been huge for Jackson on the recruiting trail as he has racked up several offers from top tier programs. Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Alabama have all offered him in this time span. Florida was the first SEC school to offer him.
With all of the offers Jackson has accumulated, Alabama’s success under Saban is something he has paid attention to.
“They have been one of the best college teams in the last decade,” Jackson said.
Several parts of Jackson’s game stand out on film. The 6-6 prospect’s long frame allows him to use his long arms to create a leverage advantage. He has good speed on the pursuit and is patient when he needs to be. The Tide’s coaching staff told Jackson they like the way he plays.
“They said the like how I am aggressive on the play and play with my hands,” Jackson said
Alabama currently has two commits in its 2021 recruiting class. The Tide’s 2021 class is expected to add on a couple of more targets shortly as their 2020 class was starting to build a base around this time last season. Jackson could be among this group as Alabama has put their name in the hat for his services.
