He probably shouldn’t have been playing in the game, but Tua Tagovailoa wanted to be on the field with his teammates.
Alabama head coach, Nick Saban said all week that he would be a ‘game-time decision’ for Mississippi State; however, he decided to go with the junior after pregame warmups.
Despite tossing for two scores, Tagovailoa would leave the game on a golf cart late in the second quarter.
Per a report from ESPN, he was taken to a nearby hospital.
The initial report was a hip injury and Saban confirmed it in his presser.

Upon getting hit, he stayed on the ground for a while.
When he was helped up, Tagovailoa put no added weight on his body.
Saban could’ve pulled him with Alabama leading 35-7, yet he decided to leave him in and the mishap occurred. Mac Jones was ready to enter the game, but Saban trusted Tagovailoa.
After having tightrope surgery on his right ankle, he returned to action 20 days later to play against Louisiana State University. He was noticeably limping in that matchup, but totaled 418 passing yards with four touchdowns.
No one knows how long Tagovailoa will be out, but this is very concerning for Tide fans — especially when one looks at his potential NFL future.
Saban said Tagovailoa will be evaluated in Birmingham, but he does not know the ‘extent’ of the injury.

Even in a 38-7 win for the Tide, fans are in prayer for Tagovailoa.
