This year’s Iron Bowl means more to five Alabama players

John David Mercer - USA TODAY Sports

A familiar sight will take place on Saturday, as Alabama’s chance to go the College Football Playoff come through Jordan-Hare Stadium.

It has not consistently fared well against ranked Auburn teams, but the Crimson Tide wants to send the CFP committee a message this week.

After three strong practices in front of reporters and a Thanksgiving meal, Nick Saban’s bunch is prepared to turn in a balanced attack. The Tide has heard the disrespect all week on both sides of the football and is ready to show how dominant it is. Auburn may have the best defensive front in college football, but Alabama has a lot more to play for. While there are many keys to victory for this matchup, the players are the ones who must execute each aspect to perfection.
