Nick Saban is certainly not one to frown on players for being disappointed in not representing Alabama football in the College Football Playoff; however, he knows an opportunity is there for his team to finish the season strong.
The Crimson Tide drew Michigan for the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day in Orlando, Fla. This will be the first time since 2012 – Cowboy Classic – that both programs faced each other.
Alabama earned a 41-14 victory in that meeting in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and went on to capture a national title.

While it did not fare well as a two-loss team versus Utah (2009 Sugar Bowl) and Oklahoma (2014 Sugar Bowl), the 2010 group defeated Michigan State in the 2011 Captial One Bowl.
Alabama has a chance to take another Michigan school in a bowl game.
