Tagovailoa was among the nation’s best quarterbacks and was a potential Heisman Trophy candidate ahead of suffering a dislocated hip against Mississippi State which prematurely ended his season. In 10 games Tagovailoa was able to pass for 2,840 yards, 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
The junior quarterback will be sharing the award with the University of Oregon lineman Peni Sewell.
