Alabama, Nick Saban reign far from over after securing elite early signing class

The base of Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class is in and it has a chance to fill some holes on Alabama’s roster next season, which should help Alabama continue its reign of success.

During Wednesday’s press conference, Nick Saban stated the Tide at a minimum wanted to replace what they would lose and they do things two years ahead. Saban also expressed they landed some commits at some priority positions early in this recruiting cycle. Each of the Tide’s commits was strategically recruited based on needs and talent.

Here is a look at what each position group Alabama landed Wednesday means for the Tide:

Quarterback

5-Star quarterback, Bryce Young, is the Tide’s only quarterback signee and he is a special talent. Nick Saban and his staff strive to land one quarterback per class, but Young is that and more. The Tide’s quarterback room will be stacked next season and Young makes it that much better, which should bring the best out of everyone competing. If Tua Tagovailoa decides to declare for the NFL Draft, the door is open for the competition to be very interesting, although Mac Jones will most likely have a leg up with his experience.
