Nick Saban releases video asking people to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic

Two weeks after Alabama’s spring football practice was cancelled head coach Nick Saban has released a video to give an update on the team and the Coronavirus pandemic.

He began thanking everyone in the medical field for all of their hard work throughout this difficult time in our country while also adding that his staff is back and working from home.

“On behalf of our program we’d like to give thanks to all the medical professionals and caregivers in our state and across the country in these challenging times,” said Saban. “Our daily routines have changed drastically over these past weeks. Our staff is back to work, but we are working from home and obeying all social-distancing guidelines.”

But the true message behind the video was the reinforcement of the proper health precautions all Americans must take.

“We ask that everyone please wash your hands often. Stay at home if at all possible,” said Saban. “And when you have to be out in public, make sure you keep six feet between you and the nearest person.”

And just like everything Saban always looks to do, he tied it all together with a message about coming together as a team and working as one to get through this.

“We are in this together, and as one team we will get through these difficult times.”
