Tua Tagovailoa says he is ‘100 percent’ and can play immediately

NFL Draft month is upon us and normally now would have been the time for players to make one last push at pro days and meetings. Unfortunately due to the current circumstances all players and teams can do is trade words.

But words can be powerful, and influential.

Perhaps no players words will be as much so then the words of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he dropped some huge news to NFL.com in an exclusive interview.

“I feel 100 percent,” said Tagovailoa. “I feel like if there was a game today, I’d be able to go out and perform the same way I was able to perform in previous years. I feel as mobile as possible. I feel 100 percent.”

Earlier this week in a report by Yahoo Sports, Tagovailoa’s agent Chris Cabott of Steinberg Sports and Entertainment said that the lefty had been medically cleared by his doctors without restriction.

Tagovailoa also told NFL.com that his agency has provided all teams with updated medical information and given out video workouts with former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer.

“He looks as good, if not better, than he did pre-injuries,” Dilfer said on the Rich Eisen show last week. “Now, to his credit, he has worked — and I don’t have the words to express the lonely work he’s done to come back from this.”

Dilfer has been one of Tagovailoa’s loudest supporters going all the way back to his Elite 11 quarterback camp for recruits where Tagovailoa had won MVP.

Tagovailoa is projected to be one of the top quarterbacks taken in the draft on April 25, with most mock drafts having him landing with the Miami Dolphins.
