2021 3-Star defensive tackle, Anquin Barnes, announced his commitment to Alabama Friday.

Barnes is a product of Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama. The Tide offered Barnes in March. The 3-Star defensive tackle told Touchdown Alabama the Tide was in constant contact with him as of late recently.
“Our contact has been great,” Barnes said. “They have been telling me everything they do is for the benefit of their players.”
The Montgomery native currently stands at 6-5 and weighs 290 pounds.
When Alabama offered Barnes in March, he said it was something he had been waiting on since he was a little kid.
“I was excited when they told me,” Barnes said. “I have been waiting to hear that since I was little.”
The Tide now has two commits in its 2021 recruiting class.
