Offers have continued to roll in for 2022 4-Star linebacker, TJ Dudley, dating back to May of 2019 when he received his first offer from Indiana.
The Crimson Tide added their name to Dudley’s offer list Tuesday.

Dudley is a product of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in Montgomery, Alabama. The Tide is the 22nd Division 1 program to offer the 2022 prospect. The 4-Star linebacker said it felt ‘amazing’ to get an offer from an in-state program like Alabama.
“I had a call with coach (Charles) Kelly and he talked to me and my parents for a minute and he told me I had received it,” Dudley said. “It was awesome. It is every kid’s dream to get an offer from Alabama, especially with it being an in-state school and close to home. It was just an amazing feeling.”
The Montgomery product grew up watching a lot of Alabama football. The Tide has also hosted Dudley in the past for a game visit, which gave him an inside look at what all Alabama has to offer. The family vibe, that surrounds Alabama football is something Dudley really likes about the program.
“I love how they treat their players like family and they want them to be better men,” Dudley said. “It is not just about the football aspect of it, it is about life.”
Alabama is building quite the pipeline to Montgomery. After putting Shaun Dion-Hamilton, Mack Wilson and Henry Ruggs in the NFL in recent years, the Tide recently picked up a verbal commitment from 3-Star defensive tackle and Montgomery product, Anquin Barnes. Dudley looks to be the next prospect from the state capital Alabama will push for alongside 2022 DE, Khurtiss Perry.
Wilson is a former Alabama player Dudley looks up to for several reasons.
“One reason I look up to him is that he plays my position,” Dudley said. “He is also a guy from the same city I am from and that plays a big role in it, but I also love he can move well and he is very versatile.”
Dudley is very versatile in his own rights. Montgomery Catholic used him as an inside and outside linebacker during his sophomore season. He also proved he was comfortable in pass coverage.
Jeremiah Alexander, a 4-Star defensive end, is currently the Tide’s only 2022 commit. Similar to the Tide’s last three classes, the state of Alabama will play a large role in Alabama’s 2022 class and Dudley will be one of their top in-state targets.
