The native Hawaiian becomes the first signal caller of the Nick Saban era for the Crimson Tide to be selected in the first round. He helped the program to a national championship and finished his career as the school’s all-time leader for touchdown passes (87) and total scores (96).
It has not had much to cheer about since Dan Marino retired before the 2000 season, but Miami now has a game changer it can build around.
