Alabama’s four first-rounders from the NFL Draft are projected to sign huge contracts

Erich Schlegel - USA TODAY Sports

As Nick Saban made history on Thursday, the four standouts he placed as first-rounders in the NFL Draft are about to sign major contracts.

The quartet of Tua Tagovailoa, Jedrick Wills, Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy were all selected in the top-15 — giving Saban 33 first-round picks from Alabama since 2007. Tagovailoa was selected No. 5 overall to the Miami Dolphins, while Wills went at No. 10 (Browns), Ruggs at No. 12 (Raiders) and Jeudy at No. 15 (Broncos).

According to Spotrac, a website that breaks down NFL contracts, Tagovailoa is estimated to sign a four-year, $30.3 million deal. His signing bonus is set for $19.6 million and for the upcoming season, he’s looking at $5.5 million.

Wills projects to land a four-year, 19.7 million contract that includes a $11.9 million signing bonus. He is set to make $3.6 million in the coming fall.

With Jon Gruden getting his guy in Ruggs, the Montgomery (Ala.) native is expected to pull in $16.7 million on a four-year deal. He has a $9.7 million signing bonus waiting on him and can make $3 million this season. As for Jeudy, he is looking at $15.2 million for four years – including a $8.6 million signing bonus and $2.8 million for the coming season.

All four players will have fully guaranteed contracts and went to situations where they can be highly impactful.
