2021 defensive tackle, Lee Hunter, is keeping all of his options open despite being verbally committed to the Auburn Tigers.
My recruitment is still open

Hunter is a product of Blount High School in Eight Mile, Alabama. The rising senior garners a 4-Star rating from most recruiting sites. The Tide offered Hunter in October, two months before he announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers in December.
Alabama had great success with signing in-state recruits, who were once committed to the Tigers in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Alabama 2020 signees, Quandarrius Robinson, Demouy Kennedy and Javion Cohen, were Auburn pledges before de-committing from the Tigers and eventually choosing the Tide. Nick Saban and company are hoping some of that momentum can roll over to the 2021 recruiting class as they continue their push for Hunter.
The Tide and the Tigers are not the only two programs fighting hard for the in-state product. Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia and others are making their presence felt as well.
Multiple programs are after the 4-Star recruit for several reasons. At 6-5 and 292 pounds, Blount High School uses Hunter on both sides of the ball. He is a strong interior lineman, who is difficult to block inside the trenches.
Alabama’s coaching staff will be glad to hear they are not the only ones pushing for Lee to sign with them. 2021 4-Star linebacker and Alabama commit, Deontae Lawson, has his recruiting hat on for the Tide as he continues to help recruit the fellow south Alabama prospect.

Alabama currently has one commitment from a 2021 in-state defensive tackle in Anquin Barnes. They are expected to continue recruiting multiple 2021 defensive linemen, including in-state defensive tackles, Tim Kennedy and Hunter.
