With the 36th overall pick the New York Giants selected former Alabama safety Xavier McKinney to its secondary.
McKinney was one of the premier players on the Crimson Tide’s defense in 2019 where he led the team in tackles with 95 and also recorded three interceptions, five pass deflections, 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, four forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown.
The versatile safety will also be joining another swiss army knife of a defensive back in Jabrill Peppers.
