Alabama redshirt junior wide receiver Tyrell Shavers entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday, as first reported by AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
Shavers, a Lewisville Texas native, mostly worked in a special teams role as a sophomore for the Crimson Tide boasted one of the deepest receiving cores in the country.
In 2019, Shavers caught just one pass for 20 yards against Western Carolina.
He as also expected to compete for the third receiver spot next to DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle in 2020.
