Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida rounded out Williams’ top schools’ list. The Tide offered Williams on January 31 and was able to get him on campus the following day for its Junior Day Event. The Ramsey (AL) product told Touchdown Alabama he felt the Tide was not going anywhere after they offered him.
“It is really incredible how successful they have been and they are nowhere close to a decline,” Williams said.
Alabama has two linebackers committed in the 2021 recruiting class with pledges from in-state prospects, Ian Jackson and Deontae Lawson. Williams looks to be one of the Tide’s top defensive targets along with his teammate, Tim Keenan. Both have been adamant about taking their time when it comes to their college decision.
At 6-3 and 224 pounds, Williams can play multiple positions at the next level. Ramsey allowed him to rush from the edge and play standing up as an inside linebacker as a junior.
A decision for Williams will most likely come after he takes so more visits. He is definitely a name Alabama fans need to keep a tab on.
