At 6-0 and 220 pounds, Brandon Franklin, is a load at the running back position with his combination of size and toughness.
The Thompson High School product (AL) is coming off a sophomore season, where he ran for 646 yards and eight touchdowns, according to MaxPreps, en route to helping the Warriors secure the AHSAA 7-A State Championship. Offers have not started to roll in yet for the rising junior but it only seems like a matter of time before they start to. The Alabama Crimson Tide hosted Franklin in February for its Junior Day event.

Franklin said he feels Alabama’s consistency is what makes them stand out to him.
“They are a great program,” Franklin said. “They have definitely shown that over the last decade. They have a great reputation for sending players to the NFL.”
During his visit to Tuscaloosa, Franklin did get a chance to talk with Nick Saban.
“He is really professional,” Franklin added. “He is straight to the point and he is serious. Yes, he can have fun, but he is serious about his business.”
Thompson has begun summer conditioning and Franklin is working on having a successful junior season as one of their featured ball carriers. His strength and power were displayed throughout last season, but this year he wants to put his speed on display as well.
“I am working on my hip flexibility and flexibility in general,” Franklin said. “I am also working on my explosiveness, making sure I can get to the next level and hit the next gear.”
