Report: Alabama with three more players testing positive for coronavirus

Matthew Emmons - USA TODAY Sports

With reports surfacing on social media, respectable sources did confirm with yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine on three more University of Alabama football players testing positive for coronavirus. No names have been released as this is confidential information; however, it does add on to the five names that recently tested positive.

As the number has moved to eight confirmed cases, the Crimson Tide’s coaching and medical staff will continue to keep players quarantined and try to manage the situation as best as possible. The good news is all eight cases were asymptomatic, meaning that infected players are less likely to pass on the virus. Also, in the second round of testing the university was able to control things a lot better.

The student-athletes have been on campus since Monday of last week and started voluntary workouts on Monday of this week.
