2022 4-Star offensive lineman, Jacob Sexton, reported an Alabama offer Monday.

The Tide is one of the five teams, who have offered Sexton this month. The Oklahoma product now has a total of 14 Division 1 offers. After a call with Alabama’s defensive back coach, Karl Scott, Sexton was excited to hear he had received an offer from Alabama.

“I was excited the moment I receive coach Scott’s phone number and was told to call him,” Sexton said. “I was fired up and was just really excited when I was told they offered me.”

Virginia Tech, TCU, Michigan and Iowa State have also offered Sexton this month. Offers began rolling in for Sexton in July of 2019 when Kansas offered. At least one school from each Power 5 conference have now offered the rising junior.

After adding Alabama to this list, Sexton said he looks forward to establishing a relationship with Alabama’s staff.

“I think it is a great place,” Sexton added. “They have produced some great players and I look to continue to build a relationship with them as I move forward in my recruitment.”

The job Nick Saban has done in Tuscaloosa also has Sexton excited about his Alabama offer.

“I think it is awesome and impressive what he has been able to do with them,” Sexton said. “They have definitely had some good teams for the last few years and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the future.”

Sexton checks in at 6-6 and 285 pounds currently. Deer Creek High School used him at the tackle position as a sophomore, where he proved to himself with his ability to finish blocks. Heading into his junior season, he wants to improve his movement.

“The next thing I need to work on is footwork in general,”  Sexton said. “I want to have quicker feet so I can keep up with edge rushers with speed.”
