He carries the mindset and toughness of a few former Alabama players within him, but the main ones that come to mind are C.J. Mosley, Reuben Foster and Lyndell “Mack” Wilson.
Brandon “Ale” Kaho was the difference maker in 2018 for the Crimson Tide in recruiting; however, he became an impact player on special teams. Through 28 career games, a majority of 31 tackles have come on kickoff and punt coverage. He flies down the field like a Foster or a Wilson, aiming to create bad intentions for opponents and ignite energy to his team.
Alabama flipped him from Washington and in 2019, Kaho started coming into his own as a specialist for blocking punts.
He had the second-most blocks (three) in school history for a single-season – including one he recovered for a touchdown. The 6-foot-1, 228-pounder also helped out on the offensive end at H-back in goal line situations. Najee Harris (13) and Brian Robinson (five) combined for 18 rushing scores, and Kaho was at fullback for a few of them.
Both Foster and Wilson began their careers as terrors on special teams, and then the coaching staff transitioned to trusting them at linebacker on defense. Kaho feels as though he is ready to pursue the next step, especially with the exciting hype video he posted on Monday to Twitter.

According to players such as Terrell Lewis and Jared Mayden, Kaho was described by teammates as a “dog” and someone “who loves to be on the field.” The guys are drawn toward his attitude to want to make plays and doing anything possible to help the team be successful.
Per respectable sources, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine was told that Kaho will have the opportunity to start at linebacker in the dime defense. He could also be worked into some nickel packages as well, seeing how the junior is bought into Nick Saban’s system.

Part of winning national championships and generating a strong culture is recruiting student-athletes that want it more than anyone else.
Kaho is one of those players and Tide fans are on edge to see what he does in the fall.
