Since perhaps the dawn of time, Alabama has always had a dominant force out of the backfield.
There is no better proof than the universities only two Heisman Trophy winners in Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram who were both all time great running backs.
In 2019 the Crimson Tide’s running game buffered a bit at the beginning of the year, but by seasons end it turned into the Najee Harris show as he proved to be the lead man on offense especially after the injury to Tua Tagovailoa.
Alabama has done its due diligence to stock pile its backfield with fantastic young recruits as well which include redshirt freshman Trey Sanders and Roydell Williams, but senior tail back Brian Robinson wants to be the one to round out the running game.
No excuses for how I started off, but watch how I FINISH!!!

Robinson is headed into his final season with the Crimson Tide, after a career which required a ton of patience and hard work.
After arriving in Tuscaloosa in 2017, Robinson has played a big role on special teams and has worked with some of the the best running backs in the country.
When players like Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough and Josh Jacobs, Robinson finally worked his way into consistent playing time during 2019.
The unanimous four-star recruit had 96 rushes for 411 yards and five touchdowns, not bad for a back who isn’t in a starting role, but for Robinson it is not the standard he wants set for his final season.
If things are sorted out between the SEC’s athletic directors and some sort of season will happen, Robinson will be one of the players to look out for on the farewell tour.
