UPDATE: Skyler DeLong has been added back to the roster after being deleted off by mistake.

He has played in 12 games through two years at Alabama, but Skyler DeLong’s name is not on the current roster.

According to rolltide.com, the junior punter is no longer listed. A native of Fort Mill, S.C., DeLong came to the Crimson Tide in the 2018 signing class as one of the nation’s top specialists.

He was considered one of the elite hang time punters in the class and after JK Scott left for the National Football League, DeLong was tapped to replace him. The 6-foot-4, 188-pounder struggled in each of the last two seasons.

He averaged less than 40 yards per punt in both years, while being replaced by Mike Bernier (2018) and Tylan “Ty” Perine (2019).

DeLong has not entered the NCAA transfer portal, but him not being on the roster is interesting.

Since the beginning of the offseason, Alabama has seen Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland), Jerome Ford (Cincinnati), Tyrell Shavers (Mississippi State), Scott Lashley (Mississippi State), Nigel Knott (East Carolina) and Chadarius Townsend (Texas Tech) leave for other schools. The duo of Markail Benton and Giles Amos are still in the portal, while Scooby Carter is transferring to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
