With the announcement of the SEC moving to a 10-game conference only season, sources have informed Touchdown Alabama’s Stephen M. Smith that Alabama will fill its two open games with matchups against the Florida Gators and Vanderbilt Commodores.
The Crimson Tide’s last matchup with the Gators came in the 2016 SEC Championship game where Alabama defeated the then Jim McElwain Florida squad 54-16.
Much like Florida matchup, Alabama’s previous meeting with Vanderbilt ended in a 59-0 throttling in 2017.
The new SEC season will begin on Sept. 26 with the championship game being moved to Dec. 19.
