Tim Keenan III is down to five schools as he sets his commitment date for Aug. 29.
Alabama, Georgia, LSU, UAB and Georgia Tech rounded out Keenan’s final 5. The Crimson Tide have been involved in Keenan’s recruitment for quite some time. They have been included in every top school list Keenan has ever released and have hosted him more than any other program.
Keenan also has a noted relationship with former Alabama defensive tackle, Quinnen Willimas, and the Tide’s current defensive tackle, DJ Dale. Alabama’s defensive line coach, Freddie Roach, is also familiar with Keenan. When the Crimson Tide last hosted the Birmingham product, he got a chance to catch up with the Tide’s new defensive line coach.
“We got a chance to catch up because we remembered each other from a youth camp,” Keenan added. “I like his style and his vision.”
The Tide extended an official offer to Keenan on Aug. 1. Alabama’s coaching staff has continued to show heavy interest in Kenenan throughout his recruitment. The 4-star defensive tackle joined “The Process” in June to discuss the other schools who were recruiting him hard along with the Tide.
