After getting the practice feeling infused on Monday, the Crimson Tide’s football program returned to work on Tuesday.
The players are still in helmets, shorts and jerseys, as the five-day acclimation period continues.
Upon receiving video footage from the University of Alabama Athletics Department, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine focuses these notes on linebackers, running backs, wide receivers and offensive linemen.

Listed below are a few observations from Tuesday’s session.
-In day two of practice, defensive coordinator Pete Golding was the featured coach.
-He had Alabama’s linebackers working on a turnover drill, where they try to strip the ball away from running backs and tight ends. Joshua McMillon tried to pop the ball away from Major Tennison, while Dylan Moses went against Najee Harris.
-Following the turnover drill, Golding then tested the inside linebackers with taking strong angles to the ball.
-Running backs caught passes in the flat and each linebacker had to cut the angle off.
-When the wide receivers were shown, Holmon Wiggins had his group performing comeback routes.
-The duo of John Metchie and Slade Bolden were featured up close, while Javon Baker was third in line.
-The trio of Najee Harris, Trey Sanders and Brian Robinson Jr. all were involved in pass-catching drills with Mac Jones, Bryce Young and Paul Tyson.
-All three backs displayed smooth hands out the backfield.
-Charles Huff, Alabama’s running backs’ coach, would eventually have his guys working ladder and agility drills.
-The group of Jase McClellan (No. 21), Roydell Williams (No. 23) and Kyle Edwards (No. 27) were behind Harris, Robinson and Sanders.
-As for the offensive line, Kyle Flood and company trained on guard/tackle and center/guard combinations.
-In pairs of two, linemen worked on double-teaming the opponent and throwing kick-out blocks.
-Quarterbacks and receivers worked in post patters (inside and outside), as Metchie and Bolden were the two players shown up close.
-Much energy is coming from Freddie Roach and he had the defensive line training on beating double teams.
-Alabama will have Wednesday off to rest before returning to practice on Thursday at 3:40 p.m.
