Alabama LB Ale Kaho is using this season to thank Nick Saban for not giving up on him

He is very tough at times, but Nick Saban truly cares about his players.

Many of the young men who played for him at the University of Alabama grew to be conference champions, national championships, and role model athletes in the National Football League.

His guidance at the collegiate level also molded strong father figures, sons, uncles and valued people of society. Saban wants more than his players being complete athletes; he desires for them to be great people too.

Brandon “Ale” Kaho, a junior at inside linebacker, sees this from his head coach.

After turning Alabama’s 2018 signing class into a top-five group nationally, he made headlines as a weapon on special teams. Hailing from Reno, Nev., Kaho led all players in tackles on kickoff coverage (seven) as a freshman. He blocked three punts last season, which was the second most in Crimson Tide single-season history, including two recovered for touchdowns.

Along with his exploits on special teams, the former four-star was also the H-back in goal line situations. He assisted Najee Harris (13) and Brian Robinson Jr. (five) to 18 rushing scores combined.

Despite a couple of off-field things, Kaho has stayed with the Tide and Saban continues to work with him. As for his teammates, they love Kaho’s ‘dog’ mentality and his love for being on the field to help the team win in any way he can.

When it comes to this season, he’s prepared to have more of an impact on defense.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder was revenge on the LSU Tigers and Auburn Tigers.

However, he also wants to take the opportunity to thank Saban for believing in him. On Tuesday, Kaho took to Twitter and posted a heartfelt message about his coach. He wants to help get Saban the seventh national championship.

Should it happen, Saban would surpass Paul W. “Bear” Bryant for the Tide. He has grown to be a major team player, and fans are excited to see Kaho in action.
