Football is going to be looking a bit different this season for in-person fans, and Bryant-Denny Stadium will be one of those arenas hosting a much more unique seating display than years past.

The home field of the Alabama Crimson Tide will be implementing individual chair backs for its bleacher seating during game days, so fans do not have any trouble finding where they need to sit.

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne made the announcement via social media.

This season Alabama will be welcoming in 20% of Bryant-Denny Stadium’s normal capacity of 101,821 people, meaning roughly 20,000 fans will be allowed to view the Crimson Tide in person every game.

“As you know, the SEC recently announced that the 2020 football season will be comprised of a 10-game, conference-only schedule that will kick off on September 26,” read a statement to Tide Pride members back in August. “In compliance with state public health guidance, seating in Bryant-Denny Stadium for the 2020 Alabama football season will be socially-distanced resulting in approximately 20% seating capacity,” Alabama athletics director Greg Byrne said in the message.

“Also, due to guidelines relating to social distancing and large gatherings, tailgating will not be permitted on The University of Alabama campus for the 2020 football season.”

Alabama plays five home games this season against Texas A&M on Oct. 3, Georgia on Oct. 17, Mississippi State on Oct. 31, Kentucky on Nov. 21 and Auburn on Nov. 28.
