He knows this season is a potential breakout year for him.
Christian Barmore, a redshirt sophomore, suffered a minor knee injury before Alabama’s second scrimmage. He is recovering well, but Nick Saban said his status for the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Missouri is uncertain.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound defensive lineman played very well in 2019 through 12 games.

Barmore proved to be the Tide’s best pass rusher and he energized fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium, to a tune of 26 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, five quarterback hurries and two pass breakups. He will return to practice on Monday and based on how he does, it will determine whether or not Saban decides to play him.
Regardless of the situation, Barmore is confident.
On Sunday, he posted a status to Twitter encouraging fans that he will be ready.
Trust and believe I will be ready?

A serious injury has happened to cornerback, Ronald Williams Jr. (arm) as he will miss the season opener.
Alabama wants to at least have its top pass rusher on the defensive line versus the Tigers.
