James Brockermeyer along with his twin brother and fellow Alabama commit, Tommy Brockermeyer, were finally able to get their senior season underway Friday after weeks of uncertainty.
All Saints Episcopal opens its 2020 campaign with a 70-50 win over Azle. James said it felt awesome to finally get back on the gridiron.
“It was an awesome feeling to finally get out there with everything going on,” Brockermeyer said. “We have been waiting all off-season, hoping we can get the chance to play, just working to get this opportunity. For all of that to come to fruition, it was awesome. We are just glad we are getting a shot.”
After picking up a win Friday night, the Brockermeyer twins tuned in to watch Alabama take on the Missouri Tigers. The Crimson Tide were able to pick up a win over the Tigers by a score of 38-19. Behind an experienced offensive line, the Tide rushed for a total of 111 yards and was able to rack up 303 passing yards. After watching the Tide’s Saturday performance, James said it was good to see Alabama football doing what they are known for.
