On Saturday, Mac Jones will have college football in the palm of his hand.
All eyes will be on Bryant-Denny Stadium, as he leads Alabama football in a top-three matchup with Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs in prime time. While the commentating team of Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson will have the call, Jones looks at his toughest defensive test to date. Georgia brings in a group that is No. 1 in the Southeastern Conference in numerous categories and is a top-five to top-10 defense across the board. The Bulldogs have great edge rushers, strong interior players, intelligent linebackers and playmakers in the secondary. However, it has yet to face an explosive quarterback like Jones this season.

A redshirt junior, he has the Crimson Tide with the top-ranked offense in the nation.
Alabama is averaging 51 points per game and through three matchups, Jones has completed 66 of 83 passes (79.5 percent) for 1,101 yards with eight touchdowns to one interception. He is in complete control of this offense and has a Heisman Trophy on his mind. If he can turn a massive performance under the lights and lead the Tide to victory, his name goes into the conversation.
On Monday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed Jones via In My Own Words.
After totaling 417 passing yards with two scores versus Mississippi, he looks to expose Georgia’s defensive secondary.
Should he be able to, Jones would position the Tide for a run at a national championship.
