Alabama running back Najee Harris made a statement during the team’s last game against Ole Miss with a massive performance on the ground in the 63-48 victory.

His game caught the attention of thousands across the country and resulted in Harris being named the Maxwell Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Against Ole Miss, Harris carried the ball 23 times for a total of 206 yards and five rushing touchdowns. The marks he made in the touchdowns and yards departments were career bests for the California native.

He was also able to reel in three passes from quarterback Mac Jones for 42 yards with one catch going for a first down.

On the season Harris has rushed for a total of 347 yards and 10 touchdowns, both of which lead the entire Southeastern Conference.

Harris is Alabama’s second player to take home the weekly award as quarterback Mac Jones won for his performance last week against Texas A&M.
