Alabama DT Ishmael Sopsher enters NCAA transfer portal

via: Touchdown Alabama Magazine

Alabama’s redshirt defensive lineman Ishmael Sopsher has entered the NCAA transfer portal according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.

Sopsher has not seen any playing time through four games for the Crimson Tide despite working to drop 24 pounds in the offseason in hopes to break into the rotation.

During Alabama’s last game against Georgia, two true freshmen saw playing time over Sopsher as Tim Smith and Jamil Burroughs were able to get on the field and make an impact.

Alabama has lost nine players to the transfer portal since the beginning of the offseason which include tight end Giles Amos, linebacker Markail Benton, cornerbacks Scooby Carter and Nigel Knott, running back Jerome Ford, offensive tackle Scott Lashley, wide receivers Tyrell Shavers and Chadarius Townsend, and quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.

This post will be updated.
