Prior to today’s game, Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt caught up with CBS’ Jaimie Erdahl and was asked about the team’s quarterback situation coming into the game.
Pruitt announced that the team will stick with senior Jarrett Guarantano today against Alabama despite his recent struggles.

Leading up to the game Pruitt would not commit to a quarterback for the rivalry game against the Crimson Tide saying that Guarantano would need to “earn” the spot.
“He is going to have to go out here and earn it in practice like everybody else,” Pruitt said earlier in the week. “Am I wanting to put Jarrett Guarantano on the shelf? No, absolutely not. I think the guy has a lot of really good qualities about him. He has helped us win a lot of football games.”
Tennessee’s offense has put up just seven points in the past six quarters and will look to improve against the Crimson Tide today.
