On Monday the SEC announced, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones has once again been named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, for his performance against Tennessee last Saturday.
This is the third time the conference has selected Jones for the award as he previously won for his games against Texas A&M and Georgia last week making him take home the honor in back-to-back games.
Against the Volunteers last week, Jones steadily led the way for Alabama’s offense as it thrashed the arc rival 48-17 on its home field.
During the game, Jones completed 25-of-31 passes for 387 yards and produced a passer rating of 185.5 while facing a solid defense put out by Jeremy Pruitt.
It was the fourth straight game Jones passed for over 380 yards which aided the Crimson Tide in converting for 18 first downs during the game.
Jones also picked up his second career rushing touchdown with a quarterback sneak on the one-yard line which started off Alabama’s rushing dominance that day as the team went on to post give total rushing scores.
