Extremely versatile 2022 athlete, Anthony Brown reported an Alabama offer Thursday.

Brown is a product of Milan High School in Milan, Tennessee. The Crimson Tide are the sixth D1 program to offer the junior prospect. Brown said he was excited when Alabama’s running back coach Charles Huff told him he had received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

“How else could you feel?” Brown said. “It is Alabama. I was shocked to be honest. When you think about Alabama, you think of winning. I was excited, but at the end of the day, I am going to continue to work hard because I have another year left.”

With the current NCAA recruiting dead period extended through Jan. 1 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, Brown will not be able to take visits anytime soon. However, the Tennessee product has visited the University of Alabama in the past. He said he feels it was one of the best campuses he has ever saw.

“Alabama is a great program and it is not just about winning,” Brown added. “I actually went there last year because I had a close friend that went to Alabama. It is a beautiful campus. One of the best college campuses I have ever seen. With the weight its name holds, it is just a great school overall.”

At Milan High School, Brown lines up at the safety position on defense, which is where he could possibly play at the next level. If he was to choose the Tide in the future that would mean a lot of time with Nick Saban, who Brown feels is the greatest coach of all time.

“He is the GOAT,” Brown said. “He is really the greatest. His name holds so much weight with the winning and the way he carries himself.”

Along with playing defensive back, Brown lines up at wide receiver for Milan High School and spends time at quarterback as well. At 6-2 and 190 pounds, he possesses the raw athleticism to play on both sides of the football at the next level.

“I am an athlete so coach Huff asked me what I wanted to play at the next level,” Brown said. “I told him wherever you put me at, I am going to perform. I will play anywhere. I try to get better at every position because I do not know where I will play at the next level.”

Alabama currently has two verbal commits in the 2022 recruiting class. Brown is a name to pay attention to in the 2022 recruiting class as he is a special talent and fits the mold of the type of players Alabama likes to pull in. Most recruiting sites have him listed as a 3-Star recruit, which should change in the future.
